Luson/Lüsen, located in a side valley of the Valle Isarco, is a true paradise for lovers of nature. This picturesque village is located just 11 kilometers from the beautiful city of Bressanone, in a valley between the mountains, about 1,000 m above sea level. Considered by many to be the most beautiful hiking valley in all of South Tyrol for the variety and the vastness of landscapes, from woods to meadows, from clear streams to spectacular peaks of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, especially the Peitlerkofer mountain, 2875 m, which dominates the entire Valley.

Even without hiking shoes and a backpack, a walk in Luson can be active and exciting. And in the winter months Luson/Lüsen turns into a winter paradise where you can practice sledging, skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

1. Hiking: Located at the “entrance” of the Dolomites, Luson is the starting point of hundreds of trails through the Isarco Valley. The Alpe di Luson is the second largest plateau in Europe after that of the Alpe di Siusi, with an area of about 20 km.

2. Location: Luson is to be considered the nerve center of northern Italy, from here it is possible to move to whatever direction you want to go from Austria to Germany to northern Italy:
